Hey Lovelies,

Meet your Feminine Side, your Yin Meridians. They are most likely in need of some rest, as they work all the time, keeping you alive, as your Yang Meridians do their job, then get to rest.

Like our male hunter ancestors who would hunt and bring home the dinner, then rest, your more masculine yang meridians, have a tendency to use their energy for one single purpose at a time. In our bodies, the organs fed by Yang Meridians have periods when they are very active, then at rest; the stomach fills with food, processes it then releases it to the next organ; the Gall Bladder, Bladder, Small and Large Intestines also have similar activity patterns.

The organs associated with the Yin Meridians work constantly. These meridians and their associated organs are the ones in our systems to get drained and depleted first, as they are the ones which process environmental toxins, and they are the meridians from which energy gets pulled when we are under emotional stress. Just as a mother and wife is often responsible for multi-tasking and managing the care of the children, and the household operations 24/7. Our Hearts, Livers, Kidneys, Spleens, and Lungs work 24/7 to keep us alive. As mom could most likely use a massage, our Yin Meridians could greatly benefit from some spa time, LOL!

Consider the videos below a spa gift certificate for your Yin Meridians! And, give your Yin Gal Pals a little easy love!

Doing these exercises consistently over time have supported the above results and some of the more immediate results you may feel are:

  • An increase in your energy
  • Stress relief
  • Muscular relaxation

Please do the first two exercises daily; they both take UNDER 3 minutes to do and give you a big bang for your this small time investment!

TO GIVE YOUR YIN/GAL PAL MERIDIANS
AN ENERGY BOOST:

Do the Quick Energy Booster - Once you learn this exercise, you can do it all day long to bring energy to your immune system and to stimulate your Kidney, Liver, and Spleen Meridians, which are the Meridians most taxed by our environments, toxins and stress. Definitely start your day with this one. Lots of my clients actually do it in the shower, LOL. Then, do it throughout your day for a boost of energy anytime you need it!!

YIN MERIDIAN TAPPING

FOR A NATURAL CHILL PILL:

Do this Stress Relief Pose at night for 3-5 minutes when you get into bed.
This pose helps calm your body’s reaction to stress by sending the message to your body to move into a parasympathetic nervous system response, a restive state verses a stress state, so you can have a more peaceful night’s sleep. This particular head hold stimulates neuro-vascular points on your head, which stimulate and replenish the Yin Meridians, which are the first to get drained when we are stressed.

When you have a fight or flight response to everyday stress, blood rushes from your brain to your limbs to power your escape or fight. When you hold these points, you send a signal to bring blood back to your brain. This reverses the stress response, so you can relax. You are physically conveying the message to your nervous system that, despite the stress you endured during your day, there is no lion chasing you and no gun to your head now, so you can relax and go to sleep. Doing this pose nightly helped me completely alleviate my anxiety during a stressful episode in my life.

YIN SEDATION

Please do this longer Yin balancing video (below) if you have had long term or chronic hormonal imbalances or symptoms of hormonal imbalance in addition to the ones above.

The first video stimulates and balances the Yin meridians in the Chinese Element Flow Cycle and the next one stimulates and balances the Yin meridians in the Chinese Control Cycle.

Each of your body's energy systems vibrate to a specific element in the Chinese system each Meridian for instance is associated with one of the five elements and reflects the qualities of that element. The Meridians that move with the element of winter are Bladder and Kidney, the element of spring- Gall Bladder and Liver, The element of the solstice-the Spleen and Stomach, the element of autumn-are the Lungs and Large Intestines, the element of summer-Heart, Small Intestine, Circulation Sex and Triple a Warmer, which governs the stress response and thyroid and the adrenal's. These relationships are precise and meaningful and in alignment with the natural flow of the seasons and the natural relationships between the elements themselves.

When one or more meridians are over or under energy, it effects both the flow and the control of the entire system.

If you are interested in reading more about how this incredibly brilliant system works, you can find an excellent explanation in my teacher, Donna Eden's book, Energy Medicine.

The exercises below help balance the meridians and the relationships between them and the other elements. So, it's like giving mom a spa day, while the housekeeper comes and cleans the house and dad takes the kids for a romp in the park!

Each video is approximately 15 minutes long. If you are pressed for time, you can alternate doing the Flow and Control videos, but start with the Flow video and try to do them on successive nights.

While these exercises take a little more time, they are very beneficial and incredibly relaxing. I like calling this protocol, energy Percocet, LOL! I just love the warm, relaxing feeling I get when I do this. You know it's working when you involuntarily start to simply let go and exhale.
