Hello and welcome ❤️ I am so happy you are here! Recently, I received an email from a reader of my blog asking for access to my video. How to Find Peace After Terrorism. Her teenage daughter had been asking for it after the school shooting in Florida. She told her mom it was helping her calm her fears about going to school.
This is why I do what I do.
It warms my heart to know that this work helped lessen the suffering of a mom and daughter I’ve never met. And the fact that this young girl is learning real world skills to overcome her anxiety and fears just elates me. I so wish I had these tools when I was a teenager!
At her age, I was training to become a professional dancer. I wanted to inspire people the way dancers on the stage inspired me. When I actually danced professionally, I realized from the stage, you couldn’t see the audiences reaction or authentically share the experience. But, working in between tours as a personal trainer, I could! It was thrilling to help people feel better through movement. This realization drove my decision to quit dancing, and delve into studying kinesiology.
When Muscle Activation Technique cured my own chronic sciatica, I studied and certified in it. Then after a period of intense travel to ‘train trainers’ for my company, coupled with the stress of having a family member suffer a health crisis, I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue. I suffered for years, despite trying different doctors and diets, until Energy Medicine cured me. Fascinated by the results of these exercises, over the last 10 years, I have immersed myself in mastering EM and other mind body techniques, that have produced a positive effect for myself or my clients. (And pretty much every person in my life!)
I have learned that our bodies are great adaptors. As you can train your body to do a pirouette or to run a marathon, with the right exercises, you can also train your body to better handle the environmental and emotional stressors of our world.
When I realized these exercises could not only affect muscle pain and fatigue but also affect mood and emotions, I started exploring all the far reaching implications and possibilities. Through my online videos, classes, and private sessions I have helped tens of thousands of people all over the world overcome anxiety, depression, insomnia and feeling emotionally stuck.
When I felt stuck being single and was afraid I would be alone forever, I used energy work to help reveal and to liberate myself from the unconscious fears I had about marriage that were keeping me stuck. I learned to release my fear of being vulnerable and trained myself to be comfortable receiving love.
I met my amazing husband, Joe less than a year later.
Joe is nothing I ever expected and everything that was on my wish list, including being creative, not artsy as I expected, but even better, a genius in the kitchen. #score
This work continually surprises me. I didn’t grow up thinking I wanted to do what I do for a living. I simply wanted to inspire people the way I was inspired by dance. And in the end, it is me who is continually inspired by feedback from my clients and my community, like the email I received from that mom.
